Plyometrics

Often called “Jump Training” Plyometrics are exercises in which muscles exert maximum force in short intervals of time, with the goal of increasing power (speed-strength). This training focuses on learning to move from a muscle extension to a contraction in a rapid or “explosive” manner, such as in specialized repeated jumping, which enhances performance in athletes. Plyometrics training is an intense form of exercise that will help athletes improve the power of their movements. We work with children from all school districts from early elementary to high school and college athletes. Our classes assist with our Basketball Camps, as well as our Basketball Tournaments and Team in Park Ridge.

The benefits of joining a plyometric class are:

  • Improved vertical leap
  • quickness, and strength.
  • Enhanced basketball movement and range of motion.
  • Prevent sports related injuries.
  • Strong players that can produce on higher level.

Our group or one on one Plyometrics classes will be incorporated in the clinic by targeting basketball movement and range of motion. We have several facilities around Park Ridge where the training takes place. Contact Park Ridge Elite today and inquire on  Mom and Dad are welcome to watch so they can continue to work with their children at home. Plyometric training consists of exercises and drills to strengthen the core, increase speed, quickness and overall strength, improve vertical leap, and help prevent sports related injuries. Plyometrics will get all players looking strong.
